Role of the Office
The Oak Forest City Clerk's Office is responsible for the processing of:
  • Business licenses
  • Commuter parking permits
  • Vehicle stickers
  • Water bills
Additional responsibilities include processing of all transactions (including passport application service) at the front counter at City Hall.

City Clerk
The city clerk is an elected official who serves a four-year term of office. The city clerk is responsible for maintaining the official records of the city. The city clerk attends meetings of the City Council, keeps a record of its proceedings, and publishes all resolutions and ordinances approved.

The clerk also works closely with advisory boards and commissions to post agendas and maintain their minutes.
