Free bus transportation is available to seniors (60 years or older) and disabled individuals, (18 years or older) who live in Oak Forest. The bus will pick you up at home, bring you to your destination, and return you home. What could be more convenient? Weekday transportation is provided to grocery stores, medical appointments, drug stores, restaurants, hair appointments, Senior Commission luncheons, bingo at McDonald's, and Bremen Township senior activities.
A one-time registration is required to use the bus. You may complete the registration form or contact the City Clerk's Office at 708-687-4050, ext. 1000 to receive a mailed form.
The bus service operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
If a rider requires a wheelchair lift, he or she should call at least one day in advance to ensure that the bus is available. If the rider requires same-day service, the request will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. If space permits, disabled riders can travel with a companion or trained service animal. Read the Community Bus Para-Transit Policy.
