City Administrator Retires from Public Service

Oak Forest, Illinois – City Administrator Troy Ishler announced his retirement from public service effective March 29, 2019. Ishler has served the City of Oak Forest for over 13 years starting as Director of Public Works until 2012 when he became City Administrator.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to have been given the opportunity to serve in the community that I have lived in for more than 50 years, but I will be returning to my roots working in the private sector to finish my career,” said Ishler. “I will always be grateful to Mayor Kuspa and the City Council for entrusting and supporting me with these important positions within the City.”

Ishler added, “The City of Oak Forest has outstanding, dedicated public servants who make a difference in residents’ lives every day, and I am proud to have been a part of the team.”

“Troy Ishler has done an excellent job as Oak Forest’s City Administrator over the last seven years”, said Mayor Hank Kuspa.  “Troy always worked hard to serve the people of Oak Forest.  We wish Troy well in his new endeavor.  He will be missed.”
