Henry L. Kuspa was elected mayor in 2009. As mayor, he is Oak Forest's chief executive officer and is responsible for its administrative operations. He is also the city's liquor commissioner.
Although Hank has been very involved in city government for several years, including serving as a part-time apartment inspector for the city, his first love is volunteerism. Over the years, Hank has served on the board of directors of Forest-Ridge School District 142, the advisory board of the Oak Forest Park District, and the city's Youth Commission. For the past 20 years, Hank has been an active member of the Oak Fest Committee, including serving as its chairman for several years.
As the facilities manager for Grane Transportation, Hank oversees operations at four Chicago area locations. His responsibilities at Grane are significant and require long hours, but they have given him a strong background for the administrative, operational, personnel, and financial issues he faces as the mayor of Oak Forest.
Hank and his wife, Maureen, have lived in Oak Forest since 1978. They have four wonderful children: Christine, Amy, Lenny, and Kim.
