Police Department informs residents of suspicious incidents near school

The Oak Forest Police Department and Forest Ridge Elementary School District 142 officials are informing residents of two suspicious incidents that occurred today near Jack Hille Middle School.
At approximately 7:45 a.m., a red, four-door vehicle stopped near a student at which time an older white male took several pictures of a female student and drove away.
Then, at approximately 3 p.m., near Jack Hille Middle School, an older red pickup truck stopped near a student at which time an older white male with a gray beard asked a female student to get into his vehicle.
Both incidents were immediately reported to school officials and to the Oak Forest Police Department.
It is important to be clear that neither of the two incidents have been confirmed as criminal activity and that this information is being disseminated only as a precautionary measure. Please remind your children to be aware of their surroundings and not to talk to anybody that they do not know.
