The City of Oak Forest owns and maintains nearly 650 street lights in the community. These include all metal poles along Cicero Avenue, 159th Street, 147th and Central, and various public streets within residential subdivisions. Another 350 street lights, mounted on wooden poles,  along city streets are owned and maintained by Com Ed. Some street lights along private roads such as Conway Court, Club Circle Drive and Oakview Court are owned and maintained by that subdivision's property owner's association.
