Role of the Office


The Oak Forest City Clerk's Office is responsible for the processing of:
  • Business licenses
  • Commuter parking permits
  • Vehicle stickers
  • Water bills
Additional responsibilities include processing of all transactions at the front counter at City Hall.

City Clerk


The city clerk is an elected official who serves a four-year term of office. The city clerk is responsible for maintaining the official records of the city. The city clerk attends meetings of the City Council, keeps a record of its proceedings, and publishes all resolutions and ordinances approved.

The clerk also works closely with advisory boards and commissions to post agendas and maintain their minutes.
