Electrical Aggregation
Competing Electric Suppliers
A number of competing electric suppliers are contacting residents in person and via phone. Some are incorrectly suggesting to residents that they represent ComEd or your aggregating supplier and need to sign up with them to participate in the aggregation. Please remember that:
- We know of no other offerings available to residents with lower pricing
- You do not need to give your account number to anyone to participate in the aggregation
- You do not need to sign up with anyone to participate in the aggregation
- FirstEnergy will not contact you in person or by phone
- Anyone who signs up with an agent will definitely be excluded from the aggregation
For questions about your specific electric account, do not call City Hall; call the new Oak Forest aggregation program supplier: FirstEnergy Solutions, L.L.C. at 866-636-3749. If you require additional assistance, call NIMEC at 800-856-3404 to leave your question and callback number. You will be contacted within 24 hours regarding the issue.

A small commercial account is defined by the ICC as a commercial account using under 15,000 kWh per year.
