District 228 secures $50 million construction bond

Projects that will be funded at Oak Forest High School include: installation of Field Turf at its stadium; construction of a new field house; improved water draining and detention on campus; installation of a new gym floor; creation of ancillary space for weight rooms, training rooms, classrooms and storage; remodeling of its cafeteria and kitchen; and installation of digital signage.

On Wednesday, Mayor Hank Kuspa and city officials joined the Oak Forest-Crestwood Area Chamber of Commerce, the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce in celebrating the official opening of Eagle Sports Range at 5900 W. 159th Street.

Please curb your dog

Please be considerate of your neighbors by cleaning up after your dog when on a walk or in a public space. City ordinance (95.36 B) requires anyone walking a dog to have on their person whatever may be necessary to clean up excrement left by his or her dog. Individuals can be ticketed for this violation.

Coffee, Croissants and Coloring for mature women

The Bremen Senior Women’s Wellness Group is forming! You're invited for Coffee, Croissants and (adult) Coloring to kick off the new Women’s Wellness program. Bremen Township, in partnership with AgeOptions, hosts monthly meetings to promote fun and good health among mature women. The first meeting is Monday, October 24 in the Bremen Township Senior Café, 15350 S. Oak Park Ave., (rear building) at 10:30 a.m. Continental breakfast will be available at no charge.
