Early voting begins March 20


Early voting for the April 4 municipal election begins March 20 at City Hall.  Residents will be voting for mayor, city clerk, treasurer, and alderman for Wards 2, 4 and 6. Residents can register to vote at City Hall Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents must register to vote 30 days prior to Election Day to be eligible to vote in an election. 

Phil and Amy perform at the next senior lunch


Phil and Amy will delight you with the music of Andrew Lloyd Weber and more at the Senior Luncheon on Thursday, March 23 at 11 a.m. at the Community Center. Ticket are available at City Hall for only $4 each. 

City Hall, Clerk's Office open on Saturday


City Hall and the City Clerk's Office will be open on Saturday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to noon.  

City Council meets next week


The City Council will meet on Tuesday, February 28 at 8 p.m. for its regular meeting in Council Chambers at City Hall.  Citizens are invited to attend the meetings and are welcome to participate at the designated time.

Mark you calendars for the always popular Citywide Garage Sale, which will take place Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Register now!

If you are a cable television subscriber, you can view the Community Information Channel (CIC-TV) on Comcast channel 19, Wide Open West channel 6 and AT&T U-verse channel 99 to learn more about city programs and events.  If you do not subscribe to cable television, you can watch Committee of the Whole and City Council meetings online or check out the DVDs at Acorn Public Library.
