City of Oak Forest names Tim Moss deputy fire chief


The City of Oak Forest has named Tim Moss as its new deputy fire chief, effective immediately.   Moss’ appointment was approved by the City Council on Tuesday, September 12.

Are your property numbers visible and easily identifiable in case of an emergency?
Per City Code 304.3 Premises Identification: Buildings shall have approved address numbers placed in a position to be plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background. Address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of 0.5 inch (12.7 mm).

Roger Coyle performs at the next senior lunch


The Oak Forest Senior Commission presents Roger Coyle at its luncheon on September 28 at 11 a.m. at the Community Center. Coyle is a touring songwriter/multi-instrumentalist and historian, who sings folk, classic and Celtics melodies.
