Cook County Meds Disposal
Tomorrow, October 28, 2017 is the 14th Annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event aims to provide safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications. Americans will have the opportunity to do their part in fighting prescription drug addiction by bringing their unused, expired or unwanted medications to local secure disposal sites.
As Cook County residents prepare for National Take Back Day it’s important to note that Cook County MEDS is here to help! Cook County MEDS is an educational campaign working to spread awareness about medication management, storage and disposal. Residents can visit www.CookCountyMEDS.org and enter their address to locate a secure drug disposal site near to them where they can dispose of their prescriptions on Take Back Day and throughout the year. To locate a drug disposal location for National Take Back Day, visit www.CookCountyMEDS.org.
