We're hiring: Part-time Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is a part-time professional position.  The Coordinator is responsible for the dissemination of public information to the community through marketing services and social media programs to residents, businesses and the general public. The Coordinator also plans and markets special events of the City. The position receives general administrative direction from the City Administrator and Mayor.

wrapping needs - AND help local homeless animals at the same time!


Friends of Animal Control Commission

Visit the  Charitable Gift Wrapping kiosk in the Orland Square Shopping Mall and let us do the work for you!  For a donation, volunteers will wrap up 3 or up to 5 gifts with ALL the proceeds being used for the medical expenses of the dogs and cats in our care!  The kiosk is located on the lower level at the JC Penney entrance.  
 

 The Friends of Oak Forest Animal Control will be stationed at the kiosk wrapping on the following days:

              Sunday, December 17th                               Tuesday December 19th

             Thursday December 21st                              Friday December 22nd
             Saturday and  December 23rd                   
 Sunday, December 24th

 

The Oak Forest Fire Department promotes Steve Urban to the position of Lieutenant. Mr. Urban has been a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic since 2000.

Please help brighten Christmas for a child who is fighting cancer by donating an unwrapped toy to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation this holiday season.A collection bin is located inside Oak Forest City Hall.

Reminder to residents: with winter weather soon approaching, please keep in mind the city’s ordinance prohibiting vehicles from parking on city streets after 2” of snow has fallen. This ordinance ensures that Public Works crews can clear and salt the streets effectively and efficiently.
