Cycle Across Illinois will stop in Oak Forest to remember Officer Morrissy


The Illinois Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors will cycle through Oak Forest on July 19 at approximately 9:30 a.m. as part of its 11th Annual Cycle Across Illinois, a charity bike ride to support families of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.

Oak Fest kicks off in Oak Forest 


Summer has arrived! Oak Fest celebrates its 28th season from July 1 through July 5 at 159th and Central. This five-day event is packed with free family fun. From concerts to crafts there’s something for everyone to enjoy. There’s also a carnival for kids of all ages (even the adult ones).

City Hall will be closed tomorrow and Saturday 


City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.  We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. Remember, fireworks are illegal. Please enjoy the professional fireworks show at Oak Fest on Saturday at dusk.
