The City desires to replace its current asset and work management software. The City has been utilizing its current software for the past 10+ years.

District 146
Kindergarten Pre-registration


Registration opened online on Monday, December 10, 2018. Children who turn 5 years of age on or by September 1, 2019 are eligible for Kindergarten pre-registration.

Please register! District 146 offers full-day kindergarten classes. registering early assists the district with Kindergarten planning purposes and provides your child a Kindergarten readiness screening.


Step 1

Complete the online kindergarten pre-registration here.


Step 2

Present proof of residency documentation and birth certificate to the District 146 Administration Center at 6611 W. 171st Street, Tinley Park, prior to Thursday April 25, 2019 to complete the registration process:

  • Child's original birth certificate
  • Current lease, mortgage statement or property tax bill
  • Three (3) additional proofs of residency with the parent's/legal guardian's name and address (i.e. valid driver's license or stat-issued ID, current utility bills, voter registration card, insurance card, etc.)

Current District 146 PreK students are NOT required to pre-register.

Pre-registration must be complete in order for your child to participate in the Kindergarten screening, which will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

Help put a smile on the face of children and teens fighting cancer. Bring new unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals), $5 gift cars of gifts for teens to the City Hall Lobby and place it in the red barrel by Friday, December 21.

Join the Senior Commission!


The Oak Forest Senior Commission is looking for senior citizens who might like to serve as members of this commission, which meets in City Hall on every second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM. 

The Senior Commission gets involved in various community events, such as the annual Health Fair at the Oak Forest Park District and monthly senior lunches at the Oak Forest Community Center.

Bremen Township

Bremen Township:
Senior Lunch Program in Oak Forest


In partnership with AgeOptions, Bremen Township continues to serve hot, healthy lunches to seniors age 60+ with no residency requirement. Come try our good food and warm atmosphere at Noon, Monday-Friday, at 15350 S. Oak Park Avenue. The requested donation is $4 and a reservation is requested but not always required, depending on availability.

Bremen Township is also seeking substitute volunteers who are very active to help set up, serve and clean up. Shifts are usually 11am-1pm, one or two weekdays per month.  Get your steps in!  Leave your name & number for Sue at 687-8220.
