From now until December 14, the Oak Forest Police Department will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys in support of the United States Marine Corps Reserve's Toys 4 Tots campaign.

Apartment demo
The demolition of the apartment buildings at 157th & Lamon Avenue will take approximately two weeks.  The site is being cleared for future development.  
Mayor for the Day
On Tuesday, October 13, Mayor Hank Kuspa shared the dias with Mayor for the Day Leo Alvarez, a fourth-grader at St. Damian School.  Mayor Alvarez spent the afternoon meeting with department heads and touring city facilities and, later, helped to facilitate the City Council meeting.  Thank you, Mayor Alvarez!

City Hall closed on Saturday


City Hall will be closed tomorrow.  During non-business hours, please use the night deposit mail slot at City Hall, pay parking or ordinance tickets online or sign up for online water bill payments.

If you are a cable television subscriber, you can view the Community Information Channel (CIC-TV) on Comcast channel 19, Wide Open West channel 6 and AT&T U-verse channel 99 to learn more about city programs and events.  If you do not subscribe to cable television, you can watch Committee of the Whole and City Council meetings online or check out the DVDs at Acorn Public Library.
