    Join Mayor Hank Kuspa and Santa Claus as they ring in the holiday season at the annual Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 7, 2018.

  3. Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Information

    Entries for Parade Participation are
    due by Thursday, November 21, 2019.

    The parade kicks off at Oak Forest High School at 11 a.m. and proceeds on Central Avenue to City Hall.

    Parade staging takes place at Oak Forest High School at 10 a.m.

    • The tree lighting ceremony takes place at the gazebo at City hall after the parade.

    • The trim-a-tree contest winners will be announced during the ceremony. After the ceremony, families can enjoy refreshments and visit with Santa Claus inside Fire Station 1.

    • Please consider donating an unwrapped toy to the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation this holiday season. A donation box will be located in the fire station.

  4. Trim-a-Tree Contest Information

    Registration for Trim-a-Tree Contest is now closed. Looking forward to seeing what the registered groups do this year! Winners will be announced at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 7, 2019! See you there!

    • The trim-a-tree contest is open to Oak Forest residents, businesses and organizations.

    • UPDATE! Trees must be decorated by Thursday, November 28, 2019. Due to the late Thanksgiving Holiday this year, registered groups will have until Monday, December 2, 2019 to decorate! You will receive an e-mail when the trees are up and ready for your decorations.

    • All decorations must be weather resistant and securely fastened to trees. Lights cannot be accommodated.

    • Please provide a sign identifying your tree. Signs on stakes work best.
