Street art returns with a twist

Building on the success of Opportunity Knocks—the city’s first public art project—the Street Art Commission is bringing its kaleidoscope of doors back to 159th and Cicero Avenue with a new twist.  This year, artists will be recreating their favorite American television shows.

If you would like to be a part of this project, download the application form and/or e-mail Alderman Diane Wolf at dwolf@oak-forest.org.  Applications are due by May 6.

Yard waste pickup resumes

Grass clippings, leaves and branches should be placed in brown yard waste bags, 32-gallon cans with red “Yard Waste Only” stickers (free at City Hall) or a 95-gallon cart (available on request from NuWay Disposal).

Water report now available online

The City of Oak Forest’s 2015 Consumer Confidence Report is now available online. The report contains important information about the source and quality of your drinking water. In an effort to be more environmentally responsible, the city is no longer mailing a printed copy to all residents. If you would like a printed copy, please call the City Clerk’s Office at 708-687-4050 or email cityofoakforest@oak-forest.org to request one.
