Bremen High School Fall FestBecome a vendor or come and support the music department.Bremen High School’s Fall Fest, hosted by the Bremen High School Music Department, will take place on Saturday, October 27 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Bremen.
The free community event will include crafters, vendors, arts & crafts, projects for kids, a children’s costume contest, a haunted walkthrough, and musical performances by Bremen's music ensembles.
The fair is currently looking for vendors. Vendor fees are $30.00 per space which includes one eight-foot table and two chairs. Electricity is available and will cost an additional $5.00 per space.

Applications can be returned by mail or in-person to Bremen High School’s main office. Please make checks payable to the Bremen High School Music Department. CVHA, formerly the Chicago Bungalow Association, has helped 3700 homes in Chicago for the past 17 years with a staggering satisfaction rating of 9.98 out of 10! Check your eligibility below and apply. No detailed financial information needed!
Eligibility To qualify for this program you must meet the following criteria: - Vintage single-family home built at least 50 years ago
- Home must be owner-occupied and receive electric delivery service from ComEd
- Located in Cook County
- Household income of 80% Area Median Income (AMI) or lower—see chart here.
Complete and submit the application either online or with the paper form. Paper forms are available at the City Hall front desk or you can download one here. Remember that no detailed financial information is needed except an approximate household income. The ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program services include attic and sidewall insulation, air sealing, health and safety measures, and installation of energy-saving products. Early Voting and Interested Parties Memo at City Hall Seeing all of those political ads on TV can mean only one thing, it's election season! The 2018 Gubernatorial Election is November 6 where Illinois voters will cast their ballot for Governor as well as local Congressman, County positions, and more.
Early voting helps anyone unable to vote at the assigned polling place on Election Day. Oak Forest City Hall will be an early voting location everyday from Monday, October 22 through Monday, November 5. The Clerk’s Office will also have Vote by Mail forms for this year’s election.
Early Voting hours are:
Monday - Saturday October 22 - October 27 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 28 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday October 29 - November 2 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 3 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 4 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Monday, November 5 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Please note that the 2019 Municipal Election will be held on April 2nd, 2019. The Clerk’s Office will be providing an Interested Parties Memo featuring detailed information and documents for residents interested in running for a City of Oak Forest position in that upcoming election. This memo will be made available in September when the Illinois State Board of Elections publishes the 2019 Candidates Guide.

Request For ProposalCity of Oak Forest Council Chamber & Production Room Upgrades for Live and Recorded VideoThe City of Oak Forest invites qualified vendors to submit responses to this request for proposal (RFP) for upgrades/solution to the visual and production equipment in City Council Chambers and Cable Production room. Through this RFP, the City is requesting qualified firms to assist with replacing the current presentation and broadcasting equipment.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at City of Oak Forest administration building (15440 S. Central Ave.) on Wednesday October 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM with attendance required. City Council Chambers Audio, Visual, and Sound System Upgrade Submittal Deadline: November 28, 2018 at 5:00 PM.

Update: 159th and Cicero Improvements
The Illinois Department of Transportation has notified the City of Oak Forest that all lanes on 159th Street will be completed and opened by the beginning of November. The City is awaiting the updated work schedule from IDOT pertaining to the road and culvert construction impacting Cicero Avenue.

Back by popular demand! The Oak Forest High School Madrigal Singers, in period costume, will regale you with their harmonies singing seasonal songs!
Join us Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Senior Center (Oak Forest Community Center) 15501 S. Kilpatrick Avenue. Doors open at 10 AM. Entertainment begins at 11 AM. Lunch is at 12 noon. Join the Senior Commission! The Oak Forest Senior Commission is looking for senior citizens who might like to serve as members of this commission, which meets in City Hall on every second Wednesday of the month at 1:00 PM.
The Senior Commission gets involved in various community events, such as the annual Health Fair at the Oak Forest Park District and monthly senior lunches at the Oak Forest Community Center.
